How to dye hard bows
Okay, just take the fabric you need to match to Walmart or other craft store and get the acrylic craft paint that is the closest match. One 2oz. bottle of paint goes a long way, you will also need fabric medium (will be in a bottle in the same section as the paint). The formula is 2 parts paint to 1 part fabric medium. Put paint and medium in a medium sized bowl in the sink and add hot water till 1/2-3/4 full. Also add 2 tablespoons of table salt to the hot water/paint mixture. Mix very well with a wire whisk, then dip your bows and lay them out on a rack. Heat set with a blow dryer, turning them as they dry. They may be perfect the first time or you may want to dip them again. You can dip as many times as you like, just make sure and heat set between dips, turning them frequently. Make sense? Let me know if you need more.
