A little about who I am
Ever since childhood, I have been enchanted by eras long past--times when elegance and beauty were intricately woven into everything made--gowns of such sumptuous detail and gorgeous femininity--parasols, gloves, and hats made of lace and silk--furniture so perfectly and ornately carved it fills you with wonderment to see it--whenever I saw a painting of the Victorian Era I longed to just have one of those gowns, even if it were for only a moment--now I make, rather profusely, attire reminiscent of bygone days--hats, shoes, hairpieces, gowns. Whatever is rather homely I see how I may make it beautiful--what is plain to turn into an exquisite creation. I love to embrace creativity and imagination, and it seems I am always in some sort of project--whether it is cutting up a poor, simple hat and re-making it into an Edwardian masterpiece, gluing lace and pearls onto terribly-out-of-fashion-shoes to go with my Georgian dress, or simply making lovely cards to give to friends and family.
Business InformationAmaranthine Elegance
Amaranthine means unfading, timeless; elegance is refined and graceful beauty. And what is beautiful--is a joy forever...it will never pass into nothingness--, as Keats wrote.
My store is an assortment of what is beautiful, lovely, and gracefully refined, with a hint of the romantic past. Everything is hand-made with care and love, every piece uniquely different.
